The Strength of Jewish Women
Throughout the Torah's history, women have played a much larger role than many people realize.
G-d told Sarah to listen to Avraham about Ishmael. G-d confirmed that Rebecca was right about Esav's bad character. Rachel and Leah were right that Yaakov needed to marry both of them, and G-d confirmed it with Leah's many births. Miriam and the Jewish women convinced the men in slavery to have the next generation despite the slavery. Women avoided participation in the Golden Calf. Women were not afraid of the Canaanites during the story of the spies. And women were the leaders in giving to the Tabernacle ahead of the men.
In short, we see that women are frequently the leaders of our people, especially in situations of crisis.
So it's no surprise that the daughters of Tzlofchad were right, and G-d told Moshe the law regarding women being in line for inheritance.
"It's proper what the daughters of Tzofchad said." Numbers 27:7
